“Sarfaraz Ahmed will make a strong comeback”, says his wife

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) yesterday took a bold step and sacked their Champions Trophy 2017 winning captain Sarfaraz Ahmed from captaincy. Sarfaraz who made Pakistan top-ranked T20I side will now find it difficult to keep his place in the team after getting sacked from Test and T20I captaincy.
Sarfaraz’s wife Khushbakht Sarfaraz in an interview to an Indian news channel said that she and her husband have no regrets on this decision.
“We both are not disappointed with this decision and truly respect the decision of PCB.”
She further added: “We came to know this three days ago. My husband will now play burden-free cricket and it is not the end, he will come back stronger.”
“He’s only 32 years old now, why would he retire? Has Dhoni retired at his current age?”, she said while dismissing the news of Sarfaraz’s retirement.
Sarfaraz himself broke the news of his removal from captaincy to his wife.
Pakistan will tour Australia for three T20I and two Tests in November and December.
