Sri Lankan Security Delegation Satisfied With the Security Arrangements
On Tuesday, Sri Lankan security delegation reached Karachi to inspect the security arrangements in the city. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is in talks with Sri Lankan Cricket Board to host the second match in Karachi.
Four-member committee comprising of Honorable Secretary of Sri Lankan Board Mohan de Silva, Chief Security Advisor Ai Marshal Roshan Gunathilake, Chandima Mapatuna and Modia Selage Paletha visited the historic National Stadium yesterday to check the security measures and so far the team is satisfied with the arrangements.
Pakistan will host Sri Lanka in October and according to the schedule first test match will be played in Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. The team will inspect the venue today where PCB officials will further brief them on the security preparations for the series.
The delegation will submit a report to cricket Sri Lanka after which final decision will be made.
Other than security arrangements, the delegation also checked the newly renovated venue and also visited the Central Police Office to check the command and control centre.
